What has US done (practically) for these two incidents---- Libya oil crisis and Japan radiation crisis?

Before the strong quake and tsunami hit Japan, the world news were focusing on the crisis caused by the protest in North Africa and Middle east region. let's trace back now and try to answer the question: "What has US done (practically) for these two incidents" ...well, according to my memory... the answer is NOTHING. Withing in these two incidents, what US has done so far was giving talk and opinion. What we saw on the news are "the American expert said the radiation threat is serious....." or "professor XXX from nuclear whatever organization comment ...."

In Libyan event, US government sent their aircraft carrier to the area near by Libya, said the US government already prepare to in charge anytime when it's NECESSARY and PROPER... (Just wondering...when is the so-call NECESSARY and PROPER time for they to get involve)

Now, let's look at the Japan radiation crisis, it's obviously that something is going out of control, the strategy which Japanese government is taking doesn't really solve the problem. What i saw from the news since the March 11th, last Friday were: "the US government do concern about the situation happening in Fukushima, President Obama was making call to Japan Prime Minister Naoto Kan this morning, said the US government is willing to provide the radiation detector to Japan....blah... blah.. blah...

Nor Libya oil crisis nor Japan radiation crisis does US get out of it's comfortable couch (with its mouth shut) and do something PRACTICAL!!

In Hollywood movie, US ALWAYS be the one who save the whole world, whether it's a meteorite crisis or outpace alien invasion. US government is ALWAYS the one who figure out the solution and eventually save all the human beings.... well, maybe just in the movie ONLY.

Well, now the Japanese government besides injecting more water to cool down the temperature inside the reactor, tonight, they're going to transfer more electricity to Fukushima nuclear plant to restart the cooler inside the reactor, hoping tomorrow morning the whole world can be release from the tense of radiation crisis.

Let's pray!! 日本頑張!!
